Jakarta (ANTARA) - The startup Suryanesia offers solutions to support energy transition in the form of solar panel system rental services that have now been utilized by industries and shopping centers.

Suryanesia Founder and CEO Rheza Adhihusada stated that his company has been committed to helping national strategic achievements by providing clean energy transition services through the installation of solar panels for the past years.

“Our solution can be used by medium to small companies, depending on their electricity needs. But so far the majority [of clients] are from industries and malls because of their large size of roofs,” Rheza said in Jakarta, Thursday.

He explained that although the solution he offers is open to all business sectors, the PLTS rental service must also be adjusted to the consumers’ economies. He admitted that the majority of his customers are medium and large consumers who are attracted to electricity cost efficiency.

Through Solar-as-a-Service, the startup will invest, design, install, operate and maintain the solar power plant with a 25-year contract.

“But it depends on the customer's wishes, some want 10 years, some even prefer 35 years. We can customize the contract format. We also make flexible contracts, if there is a new technology breakthrough that results in greater savings for the company and us, we can amend it so that it can be replaced with a new one as long as the solution is a win-win for all parties,” he mentioned.

Rheza said that in addition to supporting the transition to cleaner energy, the installation of solar panels can also save electricity costs for industries or consumers with high electricity usage.

“The amount of savings varies depending on the sun irradiation, the size of the system and the duration of electricity use in each industry. For example, a factory that operates from morning to evening can save 20-40 percent,” he explained.

PT PIM Pharmaceuticals and PT Helmigs Prima Sejahtera, one of the largest and oldest pharmaceutical company groups in Indonesia, are among Suryanesia's customers who signed the rooftop solar power plant rental contract on Thursday.

PT PIM Pharmaceuticals Director, Tirta Kusuma, said sustainability in the field of green energy is the company's legacy, starting from the use of electricity generated by solar panels for office needs since the year 2018.

“Collaborating with Suryanesia is part of our mission to implement sustainable business processes by using environmentally friendly green energy. We can save 10-15 percent of electricity costs from operational activities,” Tirta stated.
