Suryanesia, through its collaboration with Gaia Bumi Raya City, one of the greenest shopping centres in Indonesia, won a prestigious award at the Indonesia Electricity Awards 2024. The event is held annually to give appreciation to notable figures, companies, and electricity initiatives in Indonesia.
Suryanesia was awarded in the category of ‘Companies that Supports the Energy Transition’ with the title of ‘The Most Active Company in Solar Rooftop Innovations,’ due to innovations in the solar panel (PLTS) project in Gaia Bumi Raya City, Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan. There are a number of breakthroughs in the Gaia Bumi Raya City solar panel system that contributed to Suryanesia's victory.
Third, by installing solar panels in the parking area on the roof of the shopping center, Gaia Bumi Raya City boasts one of the largest solar carports in Indonesia.
Suryanesia Founder and CEO, Rheza Adhihusada, is especially grateful to Gaia Bumi Raya City as a partner in the PLTS project.
“We always strive to provide the best solutions and services for our partners, including through innovations and breakthroughs that can encourage the use of clean energy in Indonesia,” said Rheza.
“Going forward, through Solar-as-a-Service (an end-to-end solution that includes funding, design, feasibility studies, structural studies, licensing, and installation of PLTS up to the operation stage, as well as periodic post-installation maintenance), we hope to help more Indonesian businesses to utilize clean energy without initial capital and without difficulty,” added Rheza.
Gaia Bumi Raya City Operations Director, Steven Swandono, was also proud of the achievement considering that the award received by Suryanesia was also an acknowledgement of Gaia Bumi Raya City's commitment in carrying out sustainable business practices.
“In the future, we hope to be an inspiration for other shopping centers and contribute to helping the government meet emission reduction targets,” Steven concluded.
