KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Superior Prima Sukses Tbk (BLES) has begun its transition to Renewable Energy. The lightweight brick manufacturer will utilize solar energy to support its production operations.
This initiative is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Suryanesia. The MoU outlines a collaboration to integrate Rooftop Solar Power Plant systems at BLES production facilities.
Superior Prima Sukses Production Director Hendra Widodo stated that the initial phase of the rooftop solar installation will begin at the company’s factories in Lamongan, East Java, and Sragen, Central Java. The installation will then continue at BLES facilities in other locations.
“The implementation of solar panels at BLES factories is a long term strategic initiative aimed at reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting the government’s program to achieve net zero emission by 2060,” Hendra said in a written statement on Wednesday, 13 March.
By utilizing solar energy as a supporting power source, BLES hopes to become a pioneer in environmentally friendly building materials in Indonesia.
“The company is not only focused on product innovation but also on its social and environmental responsibilities,” Hendra added.
Superior Prima Sukses Commercial Director Henrianto added that beyond supporting government programs, BLES aims to create long term positive impact.
“This solar panel installation not only reduces fossil fuel consumption and improves air quality, but also opens opportunities for green energy investment that supports sustainable welfare,” Henri said.
The total solar panel capacity planned for installation at BLES factories will reach 3.2 Megawatts. Overall, the solar panels will supply around 20 percent of each factory’s total energy needs.
Rheza Roswell Adhihusada, Director of PT Centra Multi Suryanesia, stated that the collaboration with BLES uses the Solar as a Service solution. This model is designed to help businesses adopt clean energy without upfront investment.
Rheza hopes this initiative will inspire other manufacturing companies to contribute to emission reduction and broader decarbonization efforts in Indonesia.
“We appreciate the strategic move by Superior Prima Sukses in becoming a pioneer in the use of solar energy within the lightweight brick manufacturing sector,” Rheza said.
